I can't speak for anyone else, but it seems to me that small towns have loud mouths. If you make a little mistake, everyone knows. In big cities you can kind of be anonymous and if you screw up then who cares you can hang out with a different group or pull back for a while. In a small town everything is magnified and spread around. Its like there is no escape. Be perfect or be gone.
I have tried to commit suicide. I truly think that the rate is so high in wyoming because this state is sorta isolated from the rest of the world, for example there is more people living in denver co than in the state of wyoming itself. Since we are isolated that has slowed the advance in the morals and values of our nation. I dont mean to offend but there are too many stubborn puritans out there that are putting too much pressure on our youth, when the expectations are so high that even the smallest of mistakes takes a toll on our pride and self worth, and all we have to see around us is empty desert, not exactly the life saving scenery around here. In conclusion wyoming needs to lighten up and do a little growing up.
